Network alterations between hippocampus, entorhinal and prefrontal cortex contributing to spatial working memory impairment under AD-like conditions
This project hypothesizes that the connectivity in the extended hippocampal-prefrontal and entorhinal-prefrontal memory networks is impaired in Alzheimer’s disease models and contributes to spatial working memory deficits. This hypothesis will be examined using analysis of circuit connectivity combined with in-vivo multiphoton imaging and optogenetic manipulation in a working memory task.
