We cordially welcome you to the homepage of the SFB 1089 ‘Synaptic Micronetworks in Health and Disease’.

This SFB, inaugurated in October 2013, has started its work in exciting times for neuroscience, in which novel approaches and tools are permitting us to address the functional architecture of neuronal networks. The SFB 1089 PIs are committed to identifying fundamental rules that govern the dynamics of neuronal behavior at the network level, and the translation of neuronal network dynamics to mammalian and human behavior. We are convinced that this will also be instrumental in understanding the pathophysiology and therapy of common CNS diseases.
