C04
The role of the hippocampal CA3 network in integration of spatial and non-spatial information
Project C04 will examine the function of axonal long-range connectivity in the hippocampal CA3 system. Specifically, the project will study how aversive and spatial information is processed and integrated in the ventral and dorsal CA3 region, and how longitudinal projections of CA3 neurons contribute to this process. We seek a person ideally with expertise in in-vivo imaging approaches and/or behavior. Expertise in analysis approaches using Matlab and/or Python is advantageous. The project will make use of cutting edge in-vivo two-photon imaging approaches in head-fixed and freely moving mice.
