D08

Regulation of social and mating behaviors by the lateral septal circuits

Project D08 will focus on the role of neuronal subpopulations of the lateral septum in controlling social and mating behaviors.  Combining optogenetics, silicon probe electrophysiological recordings and calcium imaging in behaving mice, this project will characterize neuronal circuits regulating mating behaviors and will advance the understanding of neuronal mechanisms underlying behavioral choices.
